Welcome

My name is Alon Namdar and I am a Sound Designer/Engineer/Mixer specializing in post-production sound. I currently work from my Brooklyn based home studio as well as freelance at various post sound studios across town.

I have been running successful projects for over 15 years ranging from location sound recording to stereo and surround mixing for TV broadcast, film, games and the web. I’ve worked as a broadcast engineering technician, a sound guest lecturer at Long Island University and as a supervising sound editor for Pokémon International.

See my resume for more info about my professional credentials.

Aside from sound for picture work, I also enjoy traveling and adventure motorcycling, I'm a true farmer’s market fan, a voracious consumer of music and words and occasionally, I walk dogs at the local animal rescue. I live with my wife and two cats in Brooklyn, but grew up as a child in Israel, where I fell in love with image and sound watching Japanese anime on TV when Israel had one and only television channel. Read more about what inspires me and my work.

I believe that good communication and a solid understanding of my client’s needs are as important as sound skills and sensitive hearing. I work to custom fit each of my projects to meet my client’s unique needs and goals.
